Passà pà Carbuccia sottu à u soli

These paths were previously used by villages inhabitants, for instance sellers and agricultors. They link villages to other villages, and go through places that are nowadays not so crowded.

Following this patrimonial path between Peri and Carbuccia, the path leads towards Ucciani, going through Carbuccia. We can also go to this path from Carbuccia’s station, following the yellow signs.

Affresche è castellu à Castellu di Rustinu

Once again, ruins that end with an «U»! But also some nice frescoes from the end of the XVth century, which are well preserved.

The city Castellu di Rustinu offers a path made of discoveries on which there is the chapel San Tumasgiu and the Marquis Massa castle’s ruins. It is believed that Toscan people would have lived there in the XIth century, so they could contribute to Corsican protection.

Monte Cintu 2706 metri

Once we have done this walk, we wouldn’t be able to climb any higher in Corsica. Indeed, the monte cintu is the highest summit in Corsica, 2706 meters high.

So, even if it is not the most beautiful (because of its ascension, as well as the view it offers), it is still worth it, to see the highest point of the island. Therefore, it offers some kind of pride to everyone who gets there !

Passighjata in Campumoru

Not far from Pruprià, this tiny marine seems to be cut from the rest of the world. It looks like a peaceful place that worths a visit on its own.

Not far from Pruprià, this tiny marine seems to be cut from the rest of the world. It looks like a peaceful place that worths a visit on its own. A little bay offers a wonderful beach with a view of the tower in a sea which is pleasantly turquoise blue.

This is a family walk. Everything is set up for it, and there are signs which show walkers some details about the path and also some historic facts about the place.

Pozzi di Pozzulu

Not only we find the famous pozzi on the plateau du Cuscionu, but there are also pozzi on the Pozzulu stream source, an ascendant from Prunelli.

L'Arca di E Padule

Now that’s some climbing ! The least we can say about the Arch of Corti, or the arch of Scandulaghja, is that we have to deserve it.

There is not less than 1100 positive ascent meters, and a bit more than 4 km. Still, there is an upside to it : like a horse heading for his barn, the way back is much faster than the way up  You need to know that your thighs and calfs are going to be put to the test.
